This hill I’ve fallen down the past several months….well, it seems I hit the bottom and am now on my way back up. Thank goodness! My two days back to work went extremely well. And after my work day on Friday, I didn’t feel like I had been steam-rolled, which is always a plus.
Yesterday I woke up feeling amazing…and it lasted the ENTIRE day! Now THAT is a miracle. All of you out there with chronic illness know this: “One day at a time.” And when you get a day that you’re feeling pretty good, you cherish it! And that’s what I did yesterday.
Last night I tried taking melatonin to help me sleep. I know there are many sleep aids out there but I wanted to try the natural ones first. I have to say, it worked much better than I thought it would! It didn’t send me into a coma like some meds I’ve been on and I woke up this morning FEELING like I had slept well. That never happens! So hopefully this feeling will continue in the upcoming nights.
Now I just need to find enough energy to clean my house….which looks like a tornado hit it. I’m serious. Sophie has been thrilled because, with all the clothes strewn everywhere, she has an endless array of beds to choose from. It’s really that awful.
One day at a time, right?
