We saved this little guy from an untimely death. He was waltzing across the street at a very leisurely pace and almost got hit by oncoming traffic. He didn’t thank us but that’s ok…..

A Letter

When I drove out west to see the doctors at the Mayo Clinic, I just had to make a few stops along the way to check out the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museums and Historical Sites. I’ve been a fan of her work since I was a child. This is a letter she wrote in her later years. It is on display at the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum in Pepin, Wisconsin.

How adorable is this little guy? We were driving along the Laura Ingalls Wilder Memorial Highway in Wisconsin when we spotted him. His mom darted into the woods but he couldn’t run as fast. When he got to the side of the road, he ducked down into the prarie grass to hide. We stayed very still and he slowly came out from hiding and made his way to the woods. He stopped a few times to look at us, which made it possible for me to get this shot. He was very curious and very cute!
